Our client is a Vancouver Island leader in the grocery industry serving fresh meat, produce, bakery goods to prepacked meals, salads, dips and sauces. The company operates a commissary production center and we are in need of a Bakery Manager. This position is responsible for the efficient operation of the bakery module with a focus on HACCP enforcement and compliance. This will include leading, managing, coaching, motivating and training staff to achieve the highest level of customer service, productivity, adherence to all Food Safety Protocol, Standard Operating Procedures, Corporate Policies, and Health and Safety programs and initiatives. The Manager demonstrates outstanding leadership, superior judgment and decision making, and commitment to success of the company.


Responsibilities


-Manages and oversees team members in the production of high quality HACCP produced products and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures
-Maintains the highest level of personal and team productivity as well as helping employees reach their maximum potential, and preparing employees to assume positions of increasing responsibility
-Recruits, trains, motivates and coaches employees, conducts performance appraisals, and provides regular feedback, including administering corrective actions as required
-Supports the implementation of all company policies, procedures, and initiatives and ensures the module is in adherence to policies and procedures
-Demonstrates leadership, sound judgment and makes timely and appropriate decisions, consistently and without over-reliance on others
-Supports the kitchen's HACCP plan; controls shrink while meeting sales requirements and within budget requirements
