The role: Display Account Executive

As a Display Account Executive, you'll sell advertising for the sixth-largest media property in the world and be a part of the team on the cutting edge of interactive marketing and media. You will drive the online video marketplace forward and engage advertising agencies and brand marketers in programs that move the needle for their companies.

The primary responsibility of the Display Account Executive is to drive and grow new business revenue for YouTube with Fortune 1000 advertisers in your specific industry. You'll manage business relationships to ensure that your clients' needs and requirements are met, and you will be equipped to deliver unparalleled programs, data, and service to your key customers. This is a high-adrenaline, client-facing role requiring deep industry expertise, and a proven track record driving sales and closing business. This role is not for the faint of heart and requires an understanding of how marketing decisions are made within agencies and marketing organizations. You will also work in close partnership with a YouTube Account Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day mentoring and training of this individual.

Responsibilities:

* Command presence in your region as the Display outside sales lead for accounts in a specific vertical by being an expert in interactive marketing.

* Develop account strategies to drive long-term revenue growth, develop RFP responses and programs, and drive upfront media buying.

* Build strategic-level relationships with clients and agencies, and generate high-level campaign ideation to meet client goals and objectives.

* Manage the sales pipeline and drive revenue through consultative media/solution sales.

* Work in close collaboration with the Google team (sharing the same account list) to ensure that there is a unified approach to our clients.

Requirements:

* BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record.

* At least 8 years of experience in advertising sales, marketing, media, and interactive.

* Strong knowledge of, and established relationships within, a specific region and/or the display advertising (interactive marketing) industry.

* Strong knowledge of traditional as well as contemporary/online marketing tactics and strategy.

* Deep understanding of the industry's (industry defined as the vertical category, but also online video and interactive) issues, a vision for its growth, and a commitment to advance Google's vision within the marketplace.

* Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

* Willing to travel frequently.
