Draftsperson - Entry level CAD Technician/Designer

Job Description:

•Prepare layout & concept drawings

•Generate parts & assembly drawings to be issued to the shop floor.

•Arrange approved designs (parts/assembly drawings) in AutoCAD then transfer file into BobCAD. BobCAD drawings will then be used to program the CNC machinery

•Prepare parts lists.

•Source parts and materials from available literature and database.

•Ensure proper documentation of all relevant activities

Required Skills:

Experience:

•MUST have 1-3 years of recent experience.

•College CAD experience at a minimum.

•Experience drawing or drafting mechanical components versus homes or buildings. Visualize in 3-D.

•AutoCAD 2009 knowledge is a strong preference.

Software Knowledge:

•Applicants must be proficient in 2D AuotCAD 2009

•Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

•Experience using SolidWorks would be an asset

•Experience using CAM software would be an asset

•Experience using image editing software would be an asset
