Electrical Operations Manager

We are currently looking for an Electrical Operations Manager reporting to the District General Manger to join our Southwestern Ontario District working in our Hamilton office.

Primary Responsibilities

· Manage the Electrical Operations department including designers, estimators and installation supervisors.

· Ensure electrical projects are executed efficiently, accurately and within budget.

· Act as primary liaison between the project group, the sales group and the customer(s).Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective two-way communication with customers.

· Actively participate in quickly resolving customer problems.

· Provide vision and leadership to ensure Department financial goals are exceeded.

· Ensure that effective performance measures are assigned, and that employees are motivated to achieve and exceed objectives in a professional, timely and quality manner.

· Accountability for employees and office compliance with corporate safety programs.

· Provide support to all districts and other departments within Southwestern Ontario.

Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years experience as a designer or estimator, and management experience in the Fire Alarm/ Integrated Systems industry.

· Demonstrated management and leadership abilities, including training, team building, branch administration, effective interaction with both customers and SimplexGrinnell employees.

· Requires good interpersonal skills, along with effective oral and written communication skills.

· Must be computer literate.

· Solid background in estimating new and retrofit work to Fire Alarm & Security systems, preferred.

· Dedicated to promoting teamwork and excellence.
