The role: Head of Industry, Finance Vertical
As a Google Industry Manager, you'll lead a team that works closely with clients and agencies looking for strategic advertising campaigns. You'll serve as a mini-CEO responsible for developing and implementing strategies to sustain and grow a multi-million dollar revenue business. This will require you to hire, train, and lead your Advertising Sales team, whose job is to sell and provide Google advertising solutions to Fortune 1000 clients and the agencies that serve them. This job is a mix of finding, managing, and growing new and existing business relationships. You'll combine strong presentation and communication skills with proven problem-solving and people-management abilities. This requires a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. You'll own the relationships with clients and agencies, which includes targeting, educating, and developing new clients to grow the business in un-penetrated territory.
Responsibilities:
* Create and execute revenue strategies, account planning, and business processes for an assigned list of key accounts in the finance industry.
* Hire, train, and serve as a mentor to your team, and contribute to your region's leadership.
* Establish and nurture senior-level relationships with advertisers and agencies.
* Ensure full compliance to Google standards, policies, and best practices.
* Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of Google's products and services.
Requirements:
* BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record.
* Demonstrated success at managing cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across departments.
* Deep knowledge of the finance space as well as a thorough understanding of the finance advertising environment.
* Established network of agency and senior-level client relationships in the finance industry.
* Deep cross-functional understanding of media businesses and management operations.
* Substantial experience in business development, client relationship, and servicing skills, and consultative selling.
* Extensive travel.
