Overview

Client is embarking on a large, multi-year program to deliver an integrated wealth management solution with the ability to manage various products, services and business lines in a single service bureau offering. The new platform will lead the securities industry in providing client-centric, real-time, straight-through and highly cost-effective processing and record-keeping capabilities, on an advanced Service-Oriented Architecture. Client will be offering its integrated wealth platform to financial services firms in Canada and around the world. And Client is actively searching for a Architect to join our team to deliver this solution.

Job Description:

•To define, design and implement the software deployment methodology to various environments (dev, test, user acceptance, performance testing and production)

•To coordinate deployment across teams, geography and user base

•To configure, optimize infrastructure software (Oracle, TIBCO, WebLogic, etc.) for these various environments

•Act as a technical architecture consultant in Client's governed technical projects, providing technical knowledge, guidelines and technical leadership

•Oversight of technical architecture and design activities

•Understand the balance between client requirements and purity of design, adhering to Client’s enterprise standards and technology vision and direction

•Design, recommend and be responsible for end-to-end project level technical solutions within the larger program context

•Provide creative alternatives and recommendations in a business context; working closely with business analysis team

•Present and take full accountability for the technical solution proposed

•Work with a team of technical architects on the same program

Qualifications:

This position requires a Technical Architect who is an experienced Platform Deployment Lead

The successful candidate will have experience:

•defining, designing and implementing the software deployment methodology to various environments (development, testing, user acceptance, performance testing and production)

•coordinating deployment across teams, geography and user base

•configuring and optimize infrastructure software (Oracle, TIBCO, WebLogic, etc.) for these various environments

•Proficient in architecting/designing/developing multi-tiered secured business applications for high availability, scalability and of high performance

•Object oriented modeling, design and development

•Expert in C/C++ and/or Java/JavaEE platform as well as understanding on legacy technology platforms

•Proficiency with Oracle Weblogic Server

•Proficiency with Oracle 11g databases

•Proficiency with Spring Framework, including Spring Webflow, Spring Faces and Spring Batch

•Proficiency with TIBCO Active Matrix and Business Works

•Proficient in web services, service-oriented-architecture and workflow concepts and implementations

•Understanding of enterprise, network, infrastructure and database architecture

•Expert in industry standards development methodology such as RUP, XP and/or Agile

•Exposure to various technologies such as web-based, desktop, on-line and batch

•Understanding of Master Data Management concepts

General:

•6+ years IT Industry experience in application architecture/design and development

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Strong organization and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate technical session

•Can communicate in both technical and business terms

•Ability to multi-task

•Previous experience in banking systems, including brokerage, wealth management, and/or securities
