Job Description

We are looking for a Senior .Net Programmer Analyst for a 5 month contract in Toronto.

Scope of Services and Deliverables

* successful person is required to enhance existing web based forms/ procedures/code that will modernize the existing Archmod application from a 2-tier architecture to a 3-tier architecture.

* Coordinate and/or deliver development of all project-related documentation

* Weekly status report for the Project Manager

* Providing programming and technical support to, and consulting with, other members of the project team as needed

* New C# modules and ASP.Net pages and code-behind; and modified existing C#.Net modules and ASP.Net pages

* XML Schemas

* System Configuration and Administration Guide; Operations Guide; Backup and Recovery Guide; Unit Test Plan, and Cases

* Define and Configure Web Services

* The Contractor will be responsible for the programming (coding in C# /

* ASP.NET SQL/Server and testing system modules, scripts, and components) and configuration services

Business Skills/Knowledge of methodologies, processes and standard

* Ability to facilitate business requirements sessions with clients

* Good verbal and written communication

* Ability to interact effectively with project, TBS and client team members

* Follow client standards and guidelines to deliver detailed system documentation including User Guides & FAQ’s

* Ability to deliver other documentation including, but not limited to, scripts, flowcharts, delivery criteria, spreadsheets, development documentation & closeout report

* Preparation and maintenance of system design documentation, and other system specifications;

* Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Patterns and Practices including the use of Enterprise Library application blocks such as caching, data access, exception handling, security and validation.

Requirements

* • Experience in working with application & database administrators onimplementing, modifying and updating systems

* • Experience in developing and executing User Test Plans

* • Ability to deliver amendments to existing ASP.NET application along with the related code level security as required. The Architecture and design of the solution will follow the .NET Centre of Excellence’s framework. This will be provided at the commencement of the contract.

* • Ability to deliver recommendations on application and security configuration

* Expert in coding and testing of programs, system modules, web services and other automated scripts and procedures in accordance with system design specifications, system requirements, and project standards. Development will be performed using C#.Net, ASP.Net, and Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL/Server, accessing Oracle 10g databases and SQL/Server 2005 databases

* Expert Programming skills – coding and testing – in C#.Net, ASP.Net and XML

* Programming – coding and testing – in C#.Net, ASP.Net and XML, SQL/Server 2005 database

* Development and configuration of N-tier .NET applications

* Experience in creating and consuming Web services and .Net Remoting components

* Windows 2003 Server / Advanced Server Operating systems

* Knowledge of TCP/IP communication protocols, Ethernet topologies

* Building and deploying applications in a .Net environment using Visual Studio 2005

* Coding of and deployment of Microsoft .Net components in a browser-style application environment using ASP.Net

* Creation of Design and Implementation Documentation according to standards of the Cluster

* Analysis and Design using UML modelling techniques

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

* A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.
